Veggie Dip Recipe Ingredients

One of the best things about this recipe is that it’s an extremely easy vegetable dip to make. You’ll only need 4 ingredients and just a few minutes to mix it up. Items like sour cream and mayonnaise can usually be found at your local grocery store, along with the dill weed that you’ll need to make the recipe. However, the other seasoning that we use, Beau Monde, can be more difficult to come by. Luckily, amazon comes to the rescue and carries this AMAZING spice. You can also find dill weed on amazon in the event that you aren’t able to find it in store. Creating a Great Veggie Tray

Variety is key to making a veggie tray that looks and tastes great. There are so many options for things to include, but obviously the most important thing is that you add what you like! If you need ideas for great additions to your veggie/snack tray, here are some things we love:

  • Carrots
  • Bell Peppers
  • Celery Sticks
  • Cucumbers
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Snap peas
  • Olives

In addition to your veggies, you might consider adding some other food elements like nuts, crackers, cheese, etc.

Easy Vegetable Dip: FAQ’s

Can I substitute the Beau Monde seasoning?

While you can create a similar flavor using spices such as salt, onion powder, and celery salt, there are other ingredients in Beau Monde that give the dip it’s distinctly delicious flavor. That being said, I would definitely recommend using the Beau Monde seasoning if you can, but if you do need to substitute it, you will still have a great tasting veggie dip.

Can I use light sour cream / mayo?

Yep! This veggie dip recipe calls for regular mayonnaise and sour cream, but if you want to use the light version of either of those items, you can! Some light mayo and sour cream have a slightly different flavor than the original, so keep in mind that using the light or low fat versions of these ingredients may alter the taste of your veggie dip. I’ve made this dill veggie dip recipe with regular and light sour cream and mayo, and they both taste great.

How long can I store this dip in my fridge?

Since all of the veggie dip ingredients have a fairly long shelf/fridge life, you can usually store leftover dip in your refrigerator for quite a while. Be sure to check the expiration dates of your ingredients when you make your dip. We have been able to store our leftover veggie dip in the fridge for  2-3 weeks after making it.
