    Easy Fruit Side Dish

This whipped cream fruit salad is one of my all time favorite things to make and eat. Whether it’s for a backyard BBQ, an afternoon picnic, or just a snack, this fruit salad is perfect. For those of you who love a dish that you can whip up in under 30 min (I know I do), this whipped cream fruit salad might just be your new staple side dish. It’s beyond easy to make and only requires a handful of ingredients.

    Healthy or Indulgent

In addition to being incredibly fast and easy, this whipped cream fruit salad recipe is a great healthy dessert or snack option. I love using fresh fruit and a bit of Splenda to sweeten the whipped cream instead of sugar.

However, this fruit salad does taste absolutely amazing with some canned fruit and sugar to sweeten it up. The best part about this recipe is that you can make it as healthy or as indulgent as you want!

    Best Fruit For Fruit Salad

In this particular recipe for whipped cream fruit salad, we used strawberries, bananas, pineapple, peaches, and cherries. We absolutely loved this fruit combo, but there are so many different ways to change it up and make this recipe your own.

Just keep in mind that if you add more fruit, you may need to add whipped cream accordingly to maintain a good fruit to whipped cream ratio. To give you a few ideas, here are some of our favorite fruits to throw into a fruit salad:

    • Strawberries
    • Blueberries
    • Mangos
    • Blackberries
    • Raspberries
    • Peaches
    • Pears
    • Canned Fruit Cocktail Mix
    • Black Cherries
    • Maraschino Cherries
    • Bananas
    • Pineapple
    • Grapes
    • Apples

    Preparing The Fruit

Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to the size of the chunks of fruit in their fruit salad. My advice to you is, cut them however large or small you want! For this recipe in particular, we halved the strawberries and the cherries.

We then cut both the pineapple and peaches into chunks. Lastly, we sliced the bananas into circular pieces with a medium thickness. When cutting your fruit, don’t overthink it! As long as the pieces are fairly bite sized, there’s no right or wrong way to do it!
